DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT

Sigmund™’s document management capabilities allow organizations to bring external documents into a patient’s record. Sigmund can acquire documents such as laboratory work, admission documentation, prescription copies, forms, and correspondence through a scanning interface, or direct file import from images. Documents can then be annotated, categorized, and associated with patients. Documents can be saved to either a SQL database or protected network storage.

System Integration

• Access document management suite from multiple entry points in Sigmund. Defaults are set based on selected patient and category heading (e.g. Access scanned insurance card for Patient John Doe from Billing Screen)
• Provide notification messages to selected staff when documents are scanned and available (e.g. notify physician when blood work results returned)
• Fully integrated with Sigmund security suite
